The eighth Convene the Green meeting was hosted on September 21st, 2026, at the Rosenberg Library’s Wortham Auditorium in Galveston, TX. This meeting was an important one, as all the work that the group has been doing for the past year had led to this moment of trying to finalize the policies to be submitted to the steering committee for adoption into the future Galveston Comprehensive Plan. All of the participants present at this meeting came ready to work towards hopefully creating something substantial for the future of Galveston.
